Empowered Hiring: Tips for Clients

Create a gig
After posting a gig, expect to receive applications from students. The more information you provide, the higher-quality candidates you'll attract. Clients often find it helpful to include specifics such as location, day and time. Following these gig posting tips can greatly enhance your chances of finding the right student for your gig.

Message and invite students
You can easily browse through student profiles on our website to find the perfect match for your gig. With unlimited messaging capabilities, communication is seamless, allowing you to discuss gig details directly with students.
Additionally, you have the option to invite students to jobs directly, ensuring a personalized and efficient hiring process tailored to your specific needs.

Screen potential student applicants
Take a look at the profiles of students who have applied to your gig. These profiles provide background check confirmation, a bio, past reviews, rates, gig specialties, languages they speak, and the university/college they attend. Alternatively, consider contacting other students in your area who meet your criteria.

Interview like a pro
Once you've connected with multiple students, schedule an interview to determine if they are the right fit. Ask them about their experience, availability, and interest in the gig. Additionally, review the gig posting with them.
PRO TIP: Ask the students for references and check their profile page to see their reviews from previous clients.

After they’re hired, keep an eye on the relationship
Once you’ve hired a student, observe them on the gig to ensure they’re meeting your expectations, and keep communications frequent through the Colledge’s message center. After the gig is complete, ask for a brief report on how it went. Occasionally, a student might not be the right fit, and that's completely okay! If you encounter any of these unfavorable changes, please don't hesitate to reach out and let us know!
Don't forget to review our students! This allow 5-star students to continue getting gigs and earning on the platform. Also, pass on the review to other clients so they know who to hire!
